The Nigeria Professional Football League makes a return on matchday 4 as ten (10) games went down in 9 different venues. Nigeria Professional Football League matchday four review was split into two halves. 7 wins, 3 draws, 18 goals, 2 red cards. No away win was recorded. Jigawa Golden Stars 1-0 Kano Pillars Sani Abacha Stadium (Kano) Y. Mohamed (7') Jigawa Golden Stars recorded their first win against Kano Pillars after 12 years. Their last four (4) meetings between both sides resulted in 3 draw and 1 lost. A 7' goal from Mohamed was all that the new boys need to crown their first win as they make a return to the NPFL after seven (7) years after losing to Wikki Tourist, Plateau United and Delta Force, 2-1, 0-1, 4-1 respectively. George 65' Debutant Akwa Starlets recorded their first ever win in the NPFL. This was their first home game since they gain promotion to the NPFL. Isaac George has contributed to all of Akwa Starlets’ three goals this season, scoring two and providing the assist for the third to help the Starlets to remain unbeaten. Ifeanyi Ubah has now suffered their first defeat after pulling out two win and a draw. Next Game (24/11) Enugu Rangers vs Akwa Starlets Ifeanyi Uba vs Lobi Stars Adamawa United 1-0 Abia Warriors Pantami Township Stadium (Gombe) Y. Adam 11', A. Mbai 64'(Red card) An early goal from Adam Yakubu helps 10 men Adamawa United end their run of eight NPFL matches without a win. The newly promoted side also ended Abia Warriors’ run of eight NPFL matches without a defeat. Next Game (24/11) Enyimba vs Adamawa United Abia Warriors vs MFM. Akwa United 0-0 Katsina United Akwa Ibom Stadium (Uyo) It was a disappointing display at the Nest of Champions as the Promise Keepers were held to a barren draw. Club icon, Mfon Udoh, was made to regret a missed penalty kick as the Promise Keepers remain winless this season (3D,1L). Katsina United were able to keep a clean sheet in an away NPFL match for the first time since February 2017, ending a run of 39 away games without a shutout.
