Due to the style of play of Frank Lampard at Chelsea, he loaned out some of the players that he doesn't need and does not fit to his style of play. So then, Frank Lampard loaned out these players: Ross Barkley, Ruben Loftus Cheek, Conor Gallagher and many others. So i have come to a point to note down some reasons why Chelsea needs Ross Barkley in this their current situation. After the sack of Frank Lampard as Chelsea manager, the club appointed Thomas Tuchel to be their club manager for some months before offering him a new contract. But i want to pick out some points why Chelsea seriously need Ross Barkley back in the team. Ross Barkley is an England international midfielder who is currently on loan at Aston Villa, Ross Barkley was loaned out by Frank Lampard due to not fitting into his game plan. But since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea, they had been playing a fantastic football but they had not been able to score much satisfying goals under the manager. Chelsea is creating many chances in their games but were not able to convert those chances to goals, we can also testify this during their match against Tottenham where they missed some open chances. Chelsea midfielders are remaining only Mason Mount, Jorginho, Matteo Kovacic, Ngolo Kante and Billy Gilmour. These midfielders are not converting chances as they are needed to. Since i have known Ross Barkley, he is very good at shooting from outside the box, which should have been of a very good use at Chelsea because there are some games you don't need or can not score goals with passing or moving into the box. Sometimes, your opponents might be so strong that they might not even allow you to move into their box to score goals and you will be left with no other options than to direct a shot from outside of the box to the net. That is also one of the main reason why Thomas Tuchel succeeded at PSG because he have some players like Neymar, Kylian Mvappe, Di Maria and many of them that can shoot from any direction. And not only that, Manchester City id also succeding with this style of play, when they see their opponents are so strong, they will start firing shots from any direction so as to open up their opponents defense. So, in my own opinion Chelsea's current situation needs Ross Barkley or someone like him to handle it. Ross Barkley is a better finisher, strong and can shoot from outside of the box.
