Salah Should Be Less Selfish
Source Mohammed Salah is one of Africa's most celebrated footballer and perhaps Egypt's most decorated player of all time. His stardom found its full light when he arrived Liverpool, after being treated as a surplus player at the Stamford Bridge. The Egyptian goal poacher has since then rose to the pinnacle of his career and has gone ahead to grab individual accolades and even big Trophies at Anfield. Though he wasn't able to fire his side to glory in the just concluded AFCON hosted by Egypt, it doesn't say any less about his potentials, as he remains one of the Hydra headed goal dragons in English football currently. But then, he has got a flaw that many especially his team mates can no longer cope with, and that's his selfish tendencies in front of goal. The last straw that broke the camel's back was the one he portrayed in Liverpool's 3-0 game against Burnley. Mohammed Salah got his Senegalese co-striker Sadio Mane enraged as he refused to pass the ball to Mane who was in a better position to score. An act that saw Mane fuming on the sidelines. Fans have also hurled barrage of criticisms on Salah and the need for him to be less selfish. Personally, i think Salah has got the potential to contend with the likes of Messi, but he needs to learn when to go for the goals himself and when to set up a team mate. Messi is one of the greatest assisting players and one of the best Goal scorers. If salah can learn this, I think he can go farther in his career.
