Sinisa Mihajlovic announced that he had filed a lawsuit against Sporting Lisbon after the Portuguese club signed a contract with him this summer, so it terminated it only nine days later. The chaos that ruled in Sporting contributed to President Bruno de Carvalho to sign a deal with Mihajlovic, but only a few days later he was removed from office, for the new leader Sosa Qintra to annul that decision.

"He accepted the work with enormous enthusiasm, even bigger than usual because I had to go to a new prestigious league. The negotiations were long, we discussed the transfer strategy, as well as for different solutions if some players stay or leave.
