Tottenham nick a point against Bournemouth
Tottenham got point at home against Iraola's Bournemouth. It was lucky point against good team. Minotaur on Tottenham bench sent these 11 on the pitch: Vicario, Porro, Romero, Danso, Spance, Bissouma, Bentancur, Sarr, Johnson, Solanke, Odobert. Big surprise was removing player who is the best in squad with the ball, who is main creative player and who has the most goals scored this season James Maddison. It was ridiculous decision. Odobert on left wing was another surprise too. Match started with two dead chances for visitors. 16 or 17 seconds was enough to Christian Romero to make bad pass straight into opponent in back line and to make one on one against goalkeeper, but Vicario saved it by deflecting ball into corner. Second chance came after couple of minutes, but Vicario was good again and saved it. After those shocking 5-10 minutes during which Spurs players was unable to deal with Bournemouth's high press with a lot of players situation stabilized. Bournemouth was little more dangerous, but Spurs had some dangerous situations in front of goal too. They failed to make clear chance, but it was nice game to watch for neutrals. Then inevitable happen ball losing machine from Spain Pedro Porro lead ocunter attack of Spurs and made bad pass which got intercepted and Kerkez ran into emptiness of right side of our squad. He then made nice cross on far post where Tavernier couldn't resist not to put it inside back of the net. Ange sent Son on the pitch for second half instead of very poor boyfriend of porn star B. Johnson. Bergvall also started second half instead of Bissouma. Swede looked very much alive, ready to run into space, but also to lose ball and to elbow opponent. Guests scored second very fast after nice counter attack, but it has been disallowed because of offside during build up of play. It was good call, man on left side was 2 meters in offside during build up of action. There was interesting situation with 3-4 Spurs and 2-3 Bournemouth players inside box of away side, but ball went toward no one and chance has gone! Then Son had nice penetration inside the box but his shot was deflected to outer part of post into corner. Then Sarr had very good position for shoot from inside the box, but he did it in poor way and ball went 2-3 meters wide. Maddison came in in 60' minute and it was clear that Spurs are more dangerous team. Van de Ven came in to replace Romero too, but soon after away side scored second goal after nice combination though the middle Evanilson went alone in front of goal and scored easily. I thought it's game over at that time, but I was wrong. Not much after Sarr got the ball on the edge of the box on right side, wanted to do cross, but it converted into monster shot on goal which hit post of away corner of Kepa Arizabalaga's goal to deflect where Spurs fans love inside the net! 1:2 and Spurs are back in the game! Fans got new hope and things became interesting. Maddison lost one ball on center, that converted into big chance, but alone player from cherries right side hit far away post of Vicario's goal and ball was nice enough not to bounce toward cherries player. There was one more dangerous situation, but for some unknown reason player didn't shoot on goal but decided to pass and his pass has been intercepted and chance gone! Then Maddison sent nice ball toward Son, nervous Kepa ran out of goal without any need because box was crowded, dived into feet of Son trying to get ball but Korean moved ball forward waited for slight contact to fall and referee didin't have a choice but to point to the spot. Heung-min waited for Kepa to go in his left side and scored goal with weak low shot in the middle of goal. Both sides wanted 3 points, but neither was able to score third goal and win. At the end of the game Minotaur from Tottenham bench said something like AZ Alkmaar fans really helped their team midweek criticizing Tottenham fans, but at same time admitting that when you start game that poor with so many mistakes it's hard to make fans excited. Why Tottenham players always give one to two dead chances to opponents in the beginning of every game ? Why they insist on short passes build of from back line when opponent press them with 6-7 players ? Why they don't send one nice long ball and organize counter attack ? I don't have answer on those questions. It's who mate on bench is isn't it ? Next game is very important match against AZ Alkmaar at home where Spurs look for win with two goals. If they go out of Europe then they can go on vacation on Friday and young players like Moore who didn't have a chance to play yesterday, Scarlett, Ajajy and similar should get the chance! If they think about winning AZ they must play better than today and a lot better than in Alkmaar. Let's see if thosebottlers are going to bottle Europa League on Thursday!

Were Tottenham Hotspur Really At Risk of Relegation?
After Tottenham’s win vs Ipswich and Arsenal’s lose vs West Ham, this is the first time both events have happened since the 9th October 2024. Spurs are seemingly back to normal service and that means winning games and climbing back up the table. We have a few senior players back from injury and with no domestic or European matches midweek, the confidence is back amongst the club’s fans again. We can now make substitutions in games and bring on experienced players who are proven at this level. This is something Manchester United are now finding out, with their bench on the previous game being full of youth players. Injuries have a severe impact on performance on the beach, Arsenal have four of their forwards being out on the sidelines and look at their recent results, they are struggling to break down teams. It was a simple case of getting our players back and our form will return. There has been so much pressure on Big Ange over the last few months and I wonder if Arteta will soon feel the pressure too with their title hopes all but gone. Pundits, fans and rival fans were saying Tottenham were at risk of relegation should take a good hard look in the mirror. When we were at our lowest was when we lost to Everton and were 16th in the table, the teams in relegation as of today still have the same number of points as they did da. Tottenham were never at risk, just media looking for attention-grabbing headlines. It is always important to have context. Liverpool changed their entire squad vs Plymouth in the third round of the FA Cup due to the number of games they have played, and they lost. There is still a lot to play for, especially in the Europa League with Tottenham being the favorites to win the competition. Come on you Spurs!
