6 Teams to Look Out for Next Season.
The 2019-20 season might not have been the most exciting season because of the pandemic. But, we did get a preview of what the next season has in store for us football fans. Some teams have been performing way above their standards while other teams have had underwhelming campaigns. The sheer unpredictability of the game is what makes it such an attractive choice of sport. Here's my pick of teams that will look to impress when the next season kicks off. I have decided to exclude obvious teams who perform well each season. This list will include teams that can push towards being a strong European contender. Criteria of Selection.Performance this season.Size and Depth of squad.Quality of game play. 6. RB Leipzig. Leipzig are one of the teams that are giving Bayern Munich a run for their money in a three-horse race. They started the campaign strongly and held the first position in the league. But, as the season progressed they lost the momentum. Leipzig have virtually pinned down a Champion's League spot. They might lose key players like Timo Werner and Dayot Upamenco but they still have a lot of quality to compete for the Bundesliga Title next season. Leipzig have a huge and youthful squad. They have been very smart in the transfer window. They've signed very talented players like Dani Olmo, Patrick Schick, Angelino and Ethan Ampadu (on loan). If they mange to keep some of their key players and sign reinforcements, Leipzig will be in contention to win the title next season. They have the quality to even 'pull off an Ajax' in the Champion's League next season. 5. Atalanta. Atalanta first grabbed the headlines for securing Champion's League qualification after finishing ahead of Inter Milan, AC Milan and Roma last season. They were started of slow in their UCL campaign but manged to qualify for the Round of 16. They absolutely dominated Valencia (who have more Champion's League experience), scoring 8 goals over two legs. Atalanta have been consistent since Gasperini took over. Atalanta finished second in Copa Italia. They have great quality and a decently sized squad. A few new recruits will make them a great team. You never know, maybe they could be the first team to upset the Juventus domination in Serie A next season. Atalanta might be a in a strong position right now but they still have a long way to go. With right steps and gradual growth they could be competing in Europe every season. 4. Ajax. Youthful, elegant and just so good. Ajax have gained reputation to not only help homegrown talents but also sign youngsters with immense potential and groom them into top players. Ajax is an attractive destination for European giants looking for talented players. They strike the balance perfectly when it comes to combining youth with experience. Dusan Tadic and Daley Blind are leaders of the team who lead the team from the front and help the youngsters develop. Ajax have a key player - Hakim Ziyech leaving for Chelsea next season, but they have the quality to cope with this loss. The emergence of Ajax talents like Sergino Dest, Edson Alvarez and Lisandro Martinez will help them keep up with the Europe's best. Acquisitions like Ryan Babel have indicated that Ajax will look to sign experienced players before the start of next season. A few signings will help Ajax have a strong 2020-21 season. 3. Leicester City. Leicester City was the name on everyone's lips after their famous Premier League triumph in the 2015-16 season. They defied all odds (5000/1 to be accurate) to lift the title. They had very uneventful campaigns after that season until Brendan Rodgers took over in February last season. Since then, Brendan Rodgers has breathed new life into Leicester. Youngsters like James Maddison and Youri Tielemans have stepped up and have taken over the responsibility of performing week in, week out. Wilfred Ndidi, who was brought in to fill in the boots of N'Golo Kante has been a rock in front of the defence. They also have Jamie Vardy spearheading the attack (who in my unpopular opinion is the best English striker in the league). One of the biggest reasons of Leicester's downfall after 2015-16 season was that they sold many of their best players and couldn't find a proper replacement. If they manage to keep hold of their star players this time and add a few through strategic investments, it is hard to not see them have an exciting 2020-21 season. 2. Lazio. Lazio is the most recent team to try and put an end Juventus's domination in the Italian league. Lazio's performances this season have been criminally underappreciated. They trail Juventus by 1 point, have lost the fewest games in the league, all while conceding the fewest goals in the league. Strakosha has been simply excellent. Acerbi, Mlinkovic-Savic and Immobile have also contributed largely to Lazio's performances this season. The defence is well drilled and move like a unit. They are living proof that possession is overrated. Possession has been of no importance to Simone Inzaghi's side. Luis Alberto has also played a key role in this system adopted by Inzaghi. Lazio have good balance in their squad but, they need new players. Lazio will surely look to sign a striker to take some load off Immobile. Chelsea. Last summer when a transfer ban was imposed on them and their best player left for Madrid, many thought that Chelsea will fail to have a good season. Chelsea have proven all of them wrong. Frank Lampard has surprised everyone by taking a bunch of youngsters and maintaining a top 4 position. To be honest no one expected them to even qualify for Europa league. But, Super Frankie has done the unthinkable once again. They had their transfer ban overturned after a successful appeal to the CAS. They were allowed to make signings in the winter transfer window but they opted against it (It is like proving you are innocent and still living in a jail). Chelsea have signed Ziyech already, are on the verge of signing Wener and hopeful of signing Havertz. These acquisitions are gonna be vital in Chelsea's revamp. These are world class players they are signing. They have accumulated enough money to be ruthless in the transfer window. The transfer ban doesn't look so bad now, does it? The last time Chelsea were this ruthless in the transfer window, they ended up winning the league multiple times and th Champion's League once.

Building The Ultimate Underrated XI(2019-20).
The very reason of classifying a player as an 'underrated' footballer is that they don't get enough credit for their influence on the pitch. There are always players who might be deemed underrated by a majority of fans. Perhaps, these players are under the shadow of their flashier teammates or they might be playing in a league they're just too good for. This is my pick of 11 players in every position who deserve more plaudits than they receive. Goalkeeper - Keylor Navas. The Costa Rican played a very important role in all of Real Madrid's Champion's League triumphs. His cat-like reflexes and the ability to keep his composure in big games helped him be the undisputed no.1 at Madrid. Many thought that the signing of Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea would cast the end of his spell at Madrid, but he started 10 league matches in his last season before being shipped of to PSG. Even at the age of 33, Navas has started 21 games this season managing to keep 11 clean sheets. Right Back - Ricardo Perreira. Ricardo Perreira signed for Leicester City in the summer of 2018 for a staggering fee of €22 Million. Since then, Perreira has proven time and time again that price was an absolute bargain. This season he's made more tackles than any other player. He is a modern day full back with offensive capabilities. His 3 goals and 2 assists this season prove that. Centre Back - Aymeric Laporte. Laporte is a very talented and classy defender, making him a perfect fit at Pep's City. He is a very stylish, left-footed centre back who is comfortable with the ball. He is commanding and has a clever reading of the game. Laporte's first season at City was overshadowed by the hype surrounding Van Dijk. But, he's still undeniably one of the most talented defenders to play the game. Centre Back - Francesco Acerbi. Francesco Acerbi has been phenomenal this season for Lazio, he has started 24 games this season and has 4 goal involvements. He is a tall left-footed defender and has exceptional ball playing abilities. He plays in the heart of the defence. He is one of the reasons Lazio have conceded the least amount of goals in Serie A this season. Acerbi has been an integral part of Lazio's fantastic run in Serie A this season. Left Back - Lucas Digne. Lucas Digne has experience playing for the likes of european giants like PSG, Roma and Barcelona. He pursued a move to Everton after being frustrated by the lack of game time at Barcelona. The Frenchman has 5 assists to his name this season. He is confident going forward and is has the pace and stamina to run up and down the flank. His consistent performances have made him a reliable and indispensable figure at Everton. Defensive Midfielder - Fernandinho. Fernandinho has been an integral part of City's consecutive title wins. His strong build and defensive capabilities matched with his elite passing range makes him the most complete defensive midfielder in the game. He breaks up opposition plays very frequently and dictates the play with his ball playing abilities. He has been deployed as a Centre Back this season showing just how versatile of a player he is. Centre Midfielder - Dani Parejo. Dani Parejo is the most criminally underrated playmakers in all of Europe. His pinpoint passing and composure while on the ball is what makes him so good. It is almost as if he was genetically engineered for the Spanish game. Parejo is consistent and reliable. He almost never has a bad game. His stats are very impressive considering he plays for a team like Valencia. Centre Midfielder - Thiago Alcantara. Thiago was the only player to follow Pep Guardiola to Bayern. He is a versatile player with great technique. Thiago can play as an attacking midfielder or a box to box with ease. He makes precise passes frequently and dictates the game. He has been consistently putting up performances for Bayern. Attacker - Josep Illicic. Josep Illicic could be called a "late-bloomer". He's been in the news after scoring 4 past Valencia in a single knockout game. He has played as an attacking midfielder or on the right of a front two. He has been one of the reasons Atalanta has been punching above their weight for the past two seasons. Attacker - Raul Jimenez. Jimenez joined Wolves in the summer of 2018. He scored 17 goals in his debut season after becoming a regular starter. Jimenez is one of the most complete forwards in the Premier League. He has played on the left wing and as a striker. He is a decent dribbler and can score from his right, left or even a header. The Mexican doesn't shy away from scoring in big games either. He is a hit among the PL fantasy fanatics. Striker - Yussuf Poulsen. Poulsen might not be the most technically gifted footballers but he is strong and surprisingly quick . He has bagged 5 goals and further assisted 6 in 12 starts for Leipzig. He started his career as a defender but eventually became a Striker. His contribution in Leipzig's ruthless season is shadowed by Werner's excellence. But, he is the reason Werner has been in the form of his life. His pace, physicality and his ability to make other's around him play better make him an outstanding Target Man. He is an absolute bully and strikes fear in the mind's of defenders.

Best club of every country in Europe (part 1)
So here is the list of every country's Best clubs. Some of this might be controversial. I have selected clubs that have better performance at both domestic and European levels. The condition for selection is that they must be currently playing in the top-flight league. The teams are majorly accounted for European success but must have equally good performance in the domestic league. Albania KF Tirana Founded: 1920 Klubi i Futbollit Tirana is an Albanian football club based in the country's capital city, Tirana. It is the most successful club in Albania with winning Albanian Superliga a record 27 times, Albanian cup 16 times, and Albanian Supercup 11 times achieving domestic double 3 times. They are also the most successful time in Albania on the European stage, having progressed from the first rounds on 11 occasions since making their European debut in the 1965–66 European Cup. They reached Round of 16 in European Competitions four times, three such in the European Cup alone in the 1980s. The club also holds the record of being the highest-ever ranking Albanian club according to IFFHS, having been ranked 31st in the world in 1987. They were the first-ever winners of Albanian Superliga back in 1930 and since have been dominating the Albanian league. The only strong oppositions are Dinamo Tirana and FK Partizani. They have participated in all the top tier national championships since their formation except for the year 2016-2017 when they finished 9th place and were relegated to the second tier. But the aced their way back to the top league the immediate year and have finished in 2nd place in the 2018-2019 season. Although they have been dominating the Superliga, they haven't won the title since the 08-09 season. This season was to be their redemption as they were on the top of the table with 9 points clear. Andorra FC Santa Coloma Founded: 1986 FC Santa Coloma is the most successful team with thirteen titles. It is also the most successful team in the Copa Constitució, winning it ten times. FC Santa Coloma has two unique achievements for an Andorran team in European competitions, never repeated so far by any Andorran team: it is the only team from Andorra to win a match in any European competition and the only team that did not concede a goal in a match in a European competition. This club has been playing European football for the past 18 years competing in either Champions League or Europa League, missing out only on 3 occasions(2003, 2005, 2006). Azerbaijan Qarabag FK Founded: 1951 as Mahsul and then in 1987 as Qarabag. Qarabağ Futbol Klubu is the most successful Club in Azerbaijan in terms of European competition. It is still a top team in Azerbaijan League only second to Neftchi Baku with 7 titles as compared to their 8. Pre-USSR disintegration, Qarabag won 2 Azerbaijan SSR league and 1 Azerbaijan SSR Cup. In Recent Times they have won 7 League titles, 6 Cups, and 1 Supercup. Qarabağ is one of the two teams in Azerbaijan, along with Neftchi Baku which has participated in all Azerbaijan Premier League championships so far. Qarabağ became the second Azerbaijani team to advance to the group stage of a European competition, making its first of three consecutive seasons in the UEFA Europa League group stages. It is also the first Azerbaijani team to advance to the group stage of the higher UEFA Champions League. Austria SK Rapid Wein Founded: 1899 Sportklub Rapid Wien is the most successful club in Austria. They have won a record 32 Austrian Championships, 14 Austrian cups being the second only to be beaten by their neighbors, FK Austria Wein but maintaining a 100% win rate in the finals by winning each of the 14 games. They also have won the German Championship(now renamed as Bundesliga) and DFB Pokal cup and they are the only Austrian club to win this. Rapid reached its first European final in 1985, losing 3–1 in the Cup Winners' Cup Final to Everton in Rotterdam. Eleven years later, in the same tournament's final in Brussels, Rapid lost 1–0 to Paris Saint-Germain. Rapid's best performance in the European Cup came in the 1960–61 season when they reached the semi-final before being eliminated by eventual winners Benfica, 4–1 on aggregate. In recent years, Rapid hasn't won any cups, their last piece of silverware was from 2008-2009 when they were crowned as the champions of Austria. They were the first-ever winners of the Austrian Championship back in 1911. 2015 mark the last season when they were in the top 2. Armenia FC Pyunik Founded: 1992 Football Club Pyunik Yerevan is the most successful club in Armenia with winning 14 League titles and a total of 31 domestic titles, by far the most by any team in Armenia. Pyunik's domestic success usually qualifies the team for UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League qualifying rounds. Their only continental achievement is a bronze place finish in the 2006 Commonwealth of Independent States Cup. they last won the premier league back in 2014-15 season but they always finish in the top 3 every season. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is an academy player of FC Pyunik.
