The FA Cup Returns as Man United Set to Battle It out Against Wolves Away at the Molineux Stadium
The ever-exciting and much-awaited FA Cup showdown is here as there are a whole lot of fixtures kicking off today. This competition holds a lot of history and prestige to it and it one of those competitions that each and everyone involved in it would want to win. Coming up later today is an exciting FA Cup fixture as two teams who are coming from a defeat in their respective premier league fixtures will lock horns against each other. Man United will be battling it out against Wolves away at the Molineux Stadium as both teams aim to kick off on a positive note. Wolves have really impressed this season and were quick to bounce back after their poor start to the season. They have shown that they are one of the best teams outside the so-called “big 6” in the premier league and have recently been regarded as the Big Teams’ nemesis. They kick off their FA clash against Man United at home as they aim to continue impressing in this competition like they did last season. A difficult game for them, however, if we are to look at their performances in recent times, it is logical to say that they have a huge chance of getting the job done against Man United at home. Expected formation and tactics – Wolves will be expected to set up in their 3-5-2 formation. As usual, their gameplan will most likely be to play as they usually do against the top teams, stay very compact and disciplined at the back and keep their focus on opportunities to control the game or counter-attack. They are also good at set-pieces, it is also a very good avenue for them to cause United problems. Image Source Man United have a great chance of making their season a great one if they are able to win the FA Cup and finish in the top 4. They’ve had a really difficult season this season and have slowly started to find their feet again as they are now back in contention for the top 4. The FA Cup is a fantastic competition and I’m pretty sure that they will be relishing the opportunity to win this competition. They face a very difficult battle at the Molineux Stadium against Wolves who have proven time and time again that they are truly the big teams’ nemesis. A very difficult game for United, however, they still remain the superior team in this fixture and would probably have the odds in their favour. Expected formation and tactics – Man United will be expected to set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation. As the superior team, they will be aiming to control and keep possession, however, it is easier said than done especially against a team like Wolves. Their gameplan will most likely be to utilize their individual qualities to find chances and spaces in the game to get the job done. What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture? I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
