Newcomer LPGA Tour from Australia Hannah Green (22) has a separate record in participating in the IWiT Championship this week. Green was noted to be quite convincing in his inaugural year on the LPGA Tour, namely by finishing T.11 in Pure Silk Bahama LPGA Classic, then followed by a single finish in position 3 ISPS Women’s Australia Open. Despite having a pretty slick note for his team, Green revealed his performance was far from satisfying.
At present Green is successfully in position T.10 in the second standings of the Indianapolis IWiT Championship with a figure of 8-under par 67. Position T.10 occupied by Green.
"My ball striking was definitely there today, going bogey-free on this course means everything tied together today, which was great".
Four years ago when Green graduated from high school in Perth, she devised a plan to reach the LPGA.
“I set a plan and I wasn’t going to college in the US or studying in Australia, I just said that I was turning professional and I wanted to be on the LPGA,” Green said. “I’ve been dreaming about this for at least four years so to have it come true is awesome.”
The neat figure capital should be enough for Green to carry out the third and final rounds later, and at this time Green is still trying to rebuild the slick performance he had watched earlier this season.
"I won feeling quite happy because I could return to the fight in the top 10 of the standings like today. But I still have a lot of work to do to stay consistent, especially for the next tournaments. Overall I performed well today, "Green said of his second round game, as quoted from LPGA.com, Friday (8/17).
"For two days here I performed well. In the past few weeks I have felt more confident, and that is something good. Having something that fits your expectations is a very good thing. I'm so impatient waiting for the next round, "Green said again.
