Key Trends
• 8 of the last 13 winners were ranked inside the Top 15 at the time of their win
• 4 of the last 5 that weren't inside the Top 15 at the time of their win had previously been rated in the Top 15 at some stage of their career
• 12 of the last 13 winners could have been said to have good links form (Placed in the British Open)
Analysis
Two bets. Concentrating on the Top 15 on World Rankings and those that have been placed (top 6) in the British Open before. Leaves us with a shortlist of:
Dustin Johnson
Justin Rose
Brooks Koepka
Jordan Speith
Rickie Fowler
Rory McIlroy
Jason Day
Paul Casey
Alex Noren
Of these I want to be with JUSTIN ROSE who when the Open was last held at Carnoustie back in 2007 he finished tied 12th having got off to a terrible start. The fact he managed three good rounds after that and kept his cool to get back into things tells me that Carnoustie shouldn't hold any fears for him. Given that he's twice the golfer he was back in 2007 also gives me belief that he will give us a great run for our money.
Also want to be with PAUL CASEY who has had a great year so far and is the biggest price on the list above.
