The world just felt right again. As I was sitting there on vacation my biggest decision all day was to go down to the beach...or watch something we haven’t seen in over a decade.
It was actually incredible and I got that exciting feeling that I really haven't felt in more than 10 years. Tiger Woods had the outright lead in a major after nine holes...on a Sunday.
Watching that moment, you could just see the look in the eyes of the competitors and feel the pressure of the top two groups as those that were leading fell back. (The guy who won was paired with tiger and got the least amount of screen time lol)
The face of golf was back, even if only for a split second or couple holes. He was playing like he meant it. He was swinging like the tiger of old, being aggressive, swinging like he was going to make every shot. It was a site to see and I CAN'T WAIT for it to happen again.
There are not many players in sports that are the true "FACE" of that sport. I can honestly say I have probably watching more matches with Tiger Woods playing on the weekend than combining all of the rest of the tournament over the last 8 years. I don't watch sunday gold (except Majors) unless Tiger has a chance on sunday, and I hate to admit it but much of America doesn't either because they like golf less than I do.
But when tiger is on the tee, in red, on Sunday. I am in front of the screen. Not many people can do that. I believe he has a couple majors left in the tank, the British Open shows that, and I will be watching.
