The FedExCup Playoffs are here and it all gets started this Thursday with the Northern Trust, hosted at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, New Jersey. The field is absolutely loaded with around 30 golfers who have a strong chance of winning this first round of the playoffs. When last week's runaway winner Brandt Snedeker (40-1) isn't even in the top-12 betting favorites for the tournament, you know the field is deep.

Speaking of last week, let's take a quick look at my results from the Wyndham Championship.

I had a very strong week, picking three of the top-12 finishers, including the winner Brandt Snedeker who I was very strong on going into the tournament. My worst pick by far was Steve Stricker, who despite being hot coming into the tournament, put up a dud and missed the cut, leaving him with just 28.8 fantasy points for the tournament. Out of more than 30,000 participants in the PGA Yahoo! Cup, I finished in 2,187th place. Without Stricker, I could've made the top 1,000 if not higher. All-in-all, a great week that I hope to repeat or even improve on.

PGA Yahoo! Cup $1,000 Freeroll Lineup: The Northern Trust

I played around with several lineups before choosing my final six players. I'm once again betting against the favorite Dustin Johnson (8-1, $50) due to his price and the ownership percentage he's likely to command due to the tremendous season he's having. Leading my team is Brooks Koepka, who won both the PGA Championship and The Open, and Jason Day, who has four straight top-20 finishes under his belt. Day took the Wyndham Championship off to get fresh for the playoffs, and he's primed to win at least one of the upcoming tournaments.

My favorite mid-priced player at $35 is Patrick Cantlay. Cantlay's last outing was a disappointing 27th in the PGA Championship, which followed three straight top-15 finishes including 12th in The Open Championship. I like Cantlay to surprise some with a top-10 finish this week.

I rounded out my lineup with Kevin Na, Gary Woodland, and underdog Chris Kirk, priced at $23. Woodland is one of my favorite dark horses. He's improved in his past three outings, anchored by a 6th place finish in the PGA Championship. He shot a 64 and a 66 in the first two rounds, and should get off to another quick start at Ridgewood. Na also fared well in the PGA Championship, ending the tournament in 19th. My final roster spot went to Kirk, who did play last week in the Wyndham and played well, earning a share of 11th place.

I'm not as confident as I was last week, but I'm betting on this lineup to deliver a performance worthy of a top-20% result.
