Welcome To Freaky Friday January 25, 2019!

The payout for last week's Freaky Friday blog was $164.09 meaning that our winning entry for this week will receive 50% of that amount rounded up, which comes to 83 SCR. Plus we had a 10 SCR donation from @mr-sarriball bringing our payout for this week up to 93 SCR.

"FORE" This week we will find out how well you can dodge high flying golf balls, learn new tricks while driving golf carts, or maybe tips for getting dates and earning a living while spending all of your time on golf courses. I'm sure that everyone will come up with some interesting antics, dramas or intrigues using this weeks subject photo.

The object of this game is to look at the photo above from a freaky sporting event and then tell a story about the event in your own words as if you were at the scene when it happened.

You can become an observer

You can become one of the participants in the event

You can be a coach

You can be a referee

You can be a newscaster

You can even imagine or dream that you are there

Just tell what happened from your vantage point as if you were right there watching when it happened, or from the viewpoint of it happening to you. Make it weird, make it funny, or make it dramatic. In fact, just have fun and tell the story from what you were thinking when you saw the photo, don't worry about the facts, just make it up as you go.

Title your blog "On Freaky Friday I _____________" fill in the blank with something to make your story unique. Post the video or photo from this contest along with a link back to this blog and a short explanation so that the readers will know what you are writing about.
The story must be 400 words long or longer about the events and scenes in the video or photo above.
The story must be your own work, quotes may be used with credits given but the words in a quote do not count toward the word total. Make sure that you also give credits for any photos used in your story.

The contest is open to anyone, but due to bad actors and scammers on Scorum, I reserve the right to disqualify or ignore any entry from someone known to be a deceiver or who is even suspected of not being genuine. Don't worry, if you have written good blogs free from plagiarism and have not tried to scam anyone then you should have nothing to be concerned about.
The prize will be 50% of the total payout from the previous contest blog plus any donations.
As part of the reward for entering the contest, I will give a 50% upvote to any qualifying entry plus other upvotes whenever possible.
This contest runs from Friday to Friday so all entries must be submitted by midnight Thursday for whatever time zone that you live in.
You may enter this contest using any language, just post your blog in the native domain and provide links as stated above. Just know that I will be using a translator in order to read and judge your entry which may affect my ability to properly and fairly do so depending on the accuracy of the translator that I use.

This is a weekly contest and my goal is to help as many members as possible to receive an established following on Scorum and to build up their accounts so that they can earn a steady income for themselves and at the same time begin to help others with their ability curate blogs and give significant upvotes for good work.

I have asked some of our long time contestants to please continue to support the contest even if you decide not to enter or you move on to other projects on Scorum. By that I'm not asking for donations although they are always welcome to enhance the payout. What I mean mostly by support is that you continue to read, upvote, and comment on Freaky Friday contest blog entries whenever possible. This helps to build the confidence of as well as the accounts of both new and regular participants.

Who Wins?

There were four entries in this weeks contest and I honestly could not declare a winner between them. There was the imaginative, the makings of a new Karate Kid movie, the strangely poetic chaos, and the old classic film. These four great stories averaged over 13,428 word count and $26.19 in rewards. Each entry had at least one full upvote by at least one member with over 10K SP. I have been going back and forth between entries and now I'm sitting here starring at the screen still undecided. My decision is that for the first time ever I'm going to split the pot, not only that but I'm making it a four way split. 73 SCR divided by 4 = 18.25 SCR each but I'm just going to make it 20 SCR each and declare this week our first ever tie!

If an average reward for an entry in the Freaky Friday contest equals $26.19, then a person who just wrote a Freaky Friday blog each week would earn over 1360 SP in one year. If my prediction comes true and Scorum tokens reach a price of $100 each in five years, then those same tokens will be worth $136,000 and that account over those five years will be worth a total of $680,000! And that's just from Freaky Friday rewards even if you never win the contest, write any other blogs or earn any curation rewards. Of course my prediction may not come true, but this is the stuff that dreams are made of. I may be way too high or way too low but either way, if Scorum is still around in five years Freaky Friday built accounts are bound to be worth a lot of money.

By the way, the blog with the highest payout currently on the trending page has a 1684 work count and I checked one blog on the trending page that had a 546 word count. Of course the value of those words and the content of those blogs was obviously very high, but it tells you how much work these Freaky Friday writers are putting into these blogs and it shows that they have value.
