Do you know how you should stand for self defense?

If you learn martial arts, you usually stand in a fighting stance to fight. When you participate in any fighting competition, everyone knows what is going to happen, you stand in a fighting stance.

When you fight for self defense, the whole picture is different. In case you send any signal that you are ready to fight or you about to make your move, the attacker will be careful about that.

Your body language and stance are very important when it comes to self defense. Bullies or attackers usually target someone who is weak and has less confidence. The way you stand, walk, talk and move, everything says a lot about you. The attackers choose their target easily seeing the body language.

Your body language gives the signal that you are not an easy target. So the attackers might not pick you up or cancel their plan. Be aware of your surroundings and do not make yourself an easy target.

If a guy comes to you and makes trouble, you can feel that that guy can attack you. While talking to him, make distance so that he cannot reach you quickly and you can see his move. It will help you defend yourself in case he attacks you.

Keep your hands up, but not like in a fighting stance with a fist. Open your hands and just keep in front. If anything happens, you are ready to attack or defend. Or, if you think you have to make your move first to defend yourself, your hands are there, so you can strike fast.

You can also keep your hands around your chest. You are in a little different position, but you are ready to use your hands. You can step back. You can also step back and move in a circle so that it makes it difficult for the attacker to attack you. Your body language and stance can prevent the attacker from attacking you.

These are some common ways you can position yourself for self defense. You can do what you think is best for that situation. So always observe the situation and make your move accordingly.
