You want to defend yourself and get out of trouble. Sometimes you do not need to strike the attacker pretty bad and make some damage. If you give the signal that you are not an easy catch or he picks up the wrong person, that's enough if the attacker gets some ideas about who he is dealing with.

Grabbing your hands is a common attack. The attacker can just grab your hands or try to get you somewhere else. You do not like that. To defend yourself, if you just pull your hands, that's a natural reaction, that will help you to release your hands.

So what can you do to defend against wrist grip?

Today we are going to talk about that. First, watch this video. This is not my video and all video credit goes to Weekend AM Virgin Media Television.

From 2:25 to 4:22 Minutes

So if the attacker grabs your hand and pulls you, you can just lift your elbow up and release your hand. Instead of pulling, you can do it that shows in this video. If you need to attack the attacker, you can attack him from there.

There is another thing you can do that is very effective to defend yourself in this situation. You have to move your hand in a circle towards the attacker's thumb. The attacker can be bigger and stronger than you, but he will not be able to hold your hands anymore.

After that, you can just walk away. Or, if you need to counter-attack, just strike him and get out of there fast. The point is, not keep fighting, you have to defend yourself and move from there.
