When you learn martial arts, you will learn the front kick at the beginning stage. You should focus on making the movement correct first. Then you can put your power and speed. If you are not doing it right, you will hurt yourself when you do the front kick to someone.

You can do the front kick as a snap. Quickly hit and get back. You can use it as a warning. If the attacker moves forward, you are going to kick him, and he will not have a chance to stand.

Some people say the front kick is not very powerful. If you say something different, that's based on your training and learning. I respect that. The thing is, how you use front kick and its effectiveness depends on your training and which martial art you are learning.

If you are used to doing the front kick and hit with the ball of the foot and I say to hit with the heel of your foot, that might seem different to you. If you hit with the heel of your foot, it will do more damage to the attacker.

When you fight, it is not that you will do only front kicks, you can combine front kick with different strikes. For example, you can do a palm strike and front kick with your front leg. You can do palm strikes with both hands and front kick with your rear leg.

Likewise, you can combine front kick with punches. You can punch to the attacker, and if you hit him, he might move back a little bit, and this is the perfect opportunity to do the front kick because you can reach him with the kick. And another thing is, if the attacker tries to parry your punches, his hands are engaged with that, and you can easily hit him with the front kick.

You can combine front kick with other kicks, for example, front kick and roundhouse kick combination, sidekick and front kick combination. You can do a lot of things. If the attacker is close to you, you can do the front kick as a push to make the distance. Then you can go for another strike.

How you are going to put it into action, that's up to you. If you are good at it, you can find it very useful for self defense. So what do you think about font kick? If you learn martial arts or you are a martial art instructor, or you have any real-life experience, please feel free to share that. I can learn something from you.
