If someone chokes you, you feel pressure on your throat. And you have to take action instantly to defend yourself. Sometimes I share videos so that it would be easier to understand the situation. It's mostly visual. At the end of this post, I will share a video.

When someone chokes you from behind and drags you, it is different from choking in front of you. Maybe you are walking, and everything is fine. You do not expect something like that could happen. Suddenly you feel a hand around your neck and grab you. Then the attacker pulls you.

So what would you do in this situation?

If you are told to kick the attacker and hits him, can you really do that?

I don't think so. When someone drags you grabbing your neck, you usually lose your balance. If you do not have your body balance, you cannot make any move work for you.

Yes, you might be shocked or freeze for the time being. From that, you need to move to the survival mode. Since you lose your balance while the attacker is dragging you. First of all, regain your body balance. You can step back and make your body straight.

The attacker's hand is still around your neck. Lower your chin and make your neck tight so that you can breathe. Now you can grab the attacker's elbow and turn. You can attack the attacker while doing this technique. You are surprised when you are being attacked. You can also make the attacker surprised to attack him back.

As soon as you get rid of that, leave the place. You do not want to stay there and give the attacker another chance to attack you. Be aware of your surroundings, and it helps you defend yourself.

Thank you so much for reading this post. Dr. Mark Phillips made a video about this. He is a criminal psychologist, martial arts, and defensive skills instructor. Let's watch this video to learn more.
