When we talk about fighting with someone bigger and stronger than you are, that guy definitely has some advantage. It has an impact when you fight. You should consider the attacker's strength and size. If I say it does not matter, that is a lie.

A big guy can punch you and hit you, but staying at the same distance, you cannot hit by throwing a punch. It is because you cannot reach him. To hit the big guy with punches, you have to get in. The fact is, when you get in, he is not going to stay there and do nothing. He will attack you right away.

So what can you do to defend yourself?

Since a bigger and stronger guy is able to hit you from a distance, you need to be aware of that. And do not let me get closer to you. Your footwork is very important. To control the distance, if you do front kick to punch him back and make the distance, it might not work that much. He can punch you and make you fall on the ground if you try to do something silly.

So you can use your footwork to control the distance. This is the key. You can move back and forth. Try to talk to you. If you can stop him before getting in a fight, that's better. Sometimes what you and how much you try, he is going to attack you anyway.

When he attacks you, that's your chance to fight back. At the time of attacking you, he is already in a close range. You can move or block to defend his strike and counter-attack instantly. Let's watch a real-life video about knocking out a bigger guy. This is not my video, and all video credit goes to Nick Drossos.

In this video, you see how a guy faces a much bigger attacker. He did well controlling the distance. When the big guy throws a punch, he moves his head and attacks him instantly. Seeing his movement, it seems he has some training; otherwise, you cannot move and hit him like that.
