Today we are going to analyze stick attack and defense techniques. The attacker can attack you with a stick in different ways. And you can defend that using your technique.

Before moving forward, I would like to mention that what I'm going to share, that's my opinion. You can have a different opinion, and I respect that. If I say some techniques are not useful or say something different, that does not mean I do not like that individual or martial art.

In this video, you are going to see different strikes and defense. We will talk about the stick attack and defense technique. Let's watch this video.

From 1:28 to 2:20 Minutes

In this video, you see some self defense techniques that are very useful. However, if you watch the stick attack and defense, do you think someone is going to attack you like that?

The stick comes from upwards and is about to hit the head. When the opponent attacks with the stick, he moves very close, and the guy defends that standing right there. The attacker intends to hit you with the stick; he will not let you defend that. You will get hit by the front part of the stick. That's where the most power is.

If you defend a stick attack like this, you might break your hand. It is because in real-life situations, when you do that, the stick contacts on your hands. You can see some moves like that in movies. The hero does that and breaks the stick.

When you fight for self defense, all you want is to defend yourself and get back home safe. You are not going to show your skills at breaking stuff.

So what can you in that situation?

You can move forward and defend that with parry, and then you can do whatever you want. Your hands should contact with the attacker's hand. You can do another thing for safety. While moving forward, move to the side and defend the stick. In case you miss doing parry and defending yourself, you will not get hit since you are out of the line of attack.
