What to do for self defense?

Sometimes you hear that try to avoid the fight. If you can avoid the fight, that's the best thing you can do. If you can talk to the person, calm him down, and get out of there safe, that's great. Sometimes you hear that attacking is the best defense. So don't just wait, go and attack the attacker.

You might get confused about what to do. It is because avoiding the fight and attacking the attacker are two opposite things. You cannot do this at the same time. So what should you do?

The main objective of a fight on the street is to defend yourself. If you participate in the fighting competition, you want to win and be a champion. That's the focus when you fight in a fighting competition. You follow the rules and hit certain parts of the opponent's body to get higher points. And at the same time, you do not hit certain parts of the opponent's body because it goes against rules.

When you fight for self defense, no rules are there. You have to understand the situation first. And always be aware of your surroundings. Every unfavorable situation does necessarily ends up in a fight. You can solve many things before moving to a fight. So if you can solve the problem without a fight, that's better. In a fight, there is always someone or both parties getting hurt.

Sometimes you do not have a choice. The attacker attacks you out of nowhere. In this situation, you have to defend yourself and counter-attack. If you see the guy keeps attacking people in front of you and you are the next, then don't wait for him to attack you. Make your first move. And get out of the danger zone as soon as you can.

So how you respond, that depends on the situation. Based on your observation and situation, you need to take action. Sometimes you have to be soft and sometimes you have to be hard. This is also a fighting concept. This could be another post for another day. The thing is, the situation shapes your action.

That's it for now. Thank you so much for reading this post. Please feel free to express your thoughts in the comment section. I really appreciate your support and feedback.

Take care. Always be happy!
