We do not expect a situation where you are being attacked. If you have experience facing a situation like this, you know what it feels like being in that situation. If you want to learn martial arts, I always recommend learning from a martial expert who has experience.

To be an expert in martial arts, it takes time, dedication, and consistent training for a long time. If he has some real-life experience, that's better. I am sharing different things about martial arts and self defense. I hope it will help you on the journey of learning martial arts.

I'm not saying you will learn everything reading my post, or I know everything about martial arts. There are great martial artists out there. I respect you. I am just sharing what I know and hope some of you will find it useful.

One thing that is very important when you fight for self defense, that is, understand what you can do based on reality. You know what you are capable of doing, right? If you think that you can kick someone who has a knife and it's over, I have no idea from where you get that idea. Knife attacks can be very dangerous.

Yes, you can block and defend. But the moment you can do that, do you have any idea how much time you might get cut?

That's why sometimes attacking is the best defense, and sometimes avoiding the situation is the best thing you can do. If you learn martial arts or have any real-life experience, please feel free to share your thoughts. I can learn something from you.

When you understand the situation, it gets easier to protect yourself. If you can intercept the attacker's intention, it can change the whole situation. And that's how you can defend yourself.
