Robinson Chirinos hit a three-run double in a run of five in the sixth inning to give the Texas Rangers a 6-3 victory over the San Diego Padres on Saturday.

San Diego was up 3-1 until then. The Padres fell to 59-90, losing 90 games for the third straight season.

The Rangers sent 10 batters to the plate in the sixth inning, mostly against the bullpen, after a good five-inning opening by Eric Lauer. The left-hander allowed two runs, one of them in the sixth.

After Trey Wingenter gave the base to Adrian Beltre, Jose Castillo (2-3) allowed a single from Jurickson Profar, double-boos from Chirinos and Isiah Kiner-Falefa and a simple producer from Shin-Soo Choo.

Eric Hosmer hit a three-run homer for the parents against reliever Ariel Jurado (3-5), who scored the win.

Joey Gallo opened the board with his 39th home run of the Texas campaign.
