Choo Shin-soo of the Texas Rangers has returned as a designated hitter.

Choo is expected to start his first designated hitter at the Los Angeles Angels home game.

The opposing team is left-handed Andrew Henney. With eight wins, eight losses and an earned run average of 4.09 this season, Choo has recorded a hit, one hit, one run, and one walk and one strikeout in five times at bat.

Choo has played as a designated hitter for the first time in 11 games since his away game against Oakland Athletics on August 21. As Adrian Beltré has been playing as a designated hitter, Choo served as a left fielder.

The starting pitcher will be left-handed Mike Minor, who has recorded 10 wins, 7 losses and an ERA of 4.33. Texas also announced Bartolo Colon as the last starter in the series the next day.
