San Francisco Giants catcher Nick Hundley was hit by LA Dodgers pitcher Yasiel Puig.
Bench cleaning took place at the Los Angeles Dodgers in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Puig, who went into batters in the second inning, fouled Tony Watson's third change-up in the ball count 1-1. After missing a good course ball, Puig took his bat in the air in regret. At this moment, catcher Hundley said a word to Puig, and the argument turned into a physical fight.
Excited by Hundley's words, puig pushed his chest and players from both teams rushed to the ground. Puig rejected coach Dave Roberts and other teammates, and hit him with a catcher mask with his right hand. Dodgers first base coach George Lombard and his body were hit hard.
According to media,, Hundley said, "I saw a Pyig coming, but unfortunately I could not defend myself because I was tangled with someone else." This meant that there would be disciplinary action at the secretariat level.
After the bench clearing, the judges ordered not only the violent pug but also Hundley to step down. San Francisco manager Bruce Bochy appealed, but the judges refused. Judge Eric Cooper did not explain the reason for the movie, saying, "If you look at the video, you can see why Hundley should be sent off."
"I was a little annoyed that I missed a good ball, but Hundely said, 'Don't be critical and go into the batter's box.' I didn`t like him saying that, he complained. Hundley did not say what he had said to Puig and said, "What happened in the field should end in the field."
