Choo Shin-soo, launched his 18th home run of the season.

Choo started as a right fielder and hit a solo homer in the bottom of the second inning when he led 2-2 in a home game against the Seattle Mariners in the Major League Baseball at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.

Choo hit a homer over the left fence against opposing left-hander Wade Leblanc. Choo hit his 18th home run of the season in eight days since the game against Seattle on April 24. With the homer, Choo has been close to the 20-homer mark for three consecutive seasons.

Choo hit 22 home runs in 2017 and 21 last season. He has five homers left before breaking the record for the most home runs in a single season in his Major League career. He hit 22 home runs in the 2010 season, the 2015 season and the 2017 season, his personal best.

Choo, who had one hit in five at-bats this season, saw his batting average fall from 0.279 to 0.278. Texas won 9-7, and escaped its third straight title.
