Rich Hill,a leading starting pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the opening game, failed to make a good record in the exhibition games.

Hill started in a exhibition game against the Milwaukee Brewers in Glendale,arizona on Sunday and pitched 85 42⁄3 innings, allowing him to walk down the mound with three runs, eight hits and four strikeouts. Hill's earned run average in the exhibition games soared from 1.42 to 3.27.

In the first inning, Hill made a light start with a grounder of Hernan Perez, Christian Yelich and Jesus Aguilar.

Rich Hill pitched Travis in the top of the second inning, with the team leading 4-0. Hill, who held Yasmani Grandal as a left-winger, had a left-handed hit by Orlando Arcia, but ended the inning by inducing a ground ball for the first baseman against Ben Gamel.

Rich Hill continued to receive support from Dodgers' batters. In the bottom of the second inning, Dodgers A.J. Pollack hit a timely two-base hit with two outs, one-run and one-base hit. Hill was shaken with the help of the batter. In the top of the third inning, Cory Spansenberg was caught by a right-winger floating ball and Jack Davis struck out.

In the second inning, Hill gave Perez a left-handed hit, allowing Yelich a right hit and Aguilar a one-run hit. In the 1-5 game, Hill had a full-count match with Travis and finished the inning, which had been shaken by a straight right-winger.

Rich Hill pitched again in the top of the fourth inning. The lead hitter Grandal was dealt with as a shortstop grounder and sealed Arcia off with strikeouts. Gamel was then treated with a second baseman grounder to make the third baseman's innings. Rich hill in the fifth inning faced a loss crisis. Two allowed Perez a two-base hit between right and right. With two outs and a second base, rich hill was hit by Milwaukee slugger Yelich with a one-run left.

Hill then allowed Aguilar and Shaw a continuous hit, allowing them to score additional runs, and came down from the mound on the first and second bases with two outs. Caleb Ferguson, who appeared on the mound, gave Turfy Cosvish a walk net, making two bases loaded. Ferguson treated Arcia with a third baseman grounder, which did not increase Rich Hill's score.
