Foreign players Mel rojas Jr, Raul Alcantara and Lee Sang Hanshin Tigers,who were commanding the KBO league of professional baseball joined their team belatedly and promised success.

Rojas and Alcantara made their determination by attending a press conference to join the team held in Nishinomiya City,Hyogo Prefecture,Japan on the 18th.

Rojas said,Jerry Sands (now Hanshin), who played for KBO League's Kiwoom Heroes, gave a lot of advice on the decision to join Hanshin, he said. He showed extraordinary confidence that his team's power would increase with his joining.

Rojas is a hitter who played four seasons at kt wiz from 2017 to last year, with a career batting average of 0.321, 132 homers, and 409 RBIs in the KBO League.

He was active last season with a batting average of 0.349, 47 homers, 135 RBIs, and 116 points, winning the KBO League Regular Season Best Player (MVP) award.

Alcantara, who joins Hanshin with rojas, also expressed confidence.

Alcantara played for kt in 2019 and entered the Japanese stage last year with a score of 20-2 and an ERA of 2.54 at Doosan.

The two players were unable to enter Japan due to the Japanese government's declaration of an emergency due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

The two players joined the squad on the 18th after self-isolation for two weeks.
