Growing up in NYC you were either a Yankee fan or a Mets fan. The rivalry was intense but we all know which of the two is the better team. I mean the numbers speak for themselves!!!😁.

In 1996 my father introduced me to the Yankees. I was pretty surprised at how much my dad knew about every single player. I remember my watching every single game. That year was pretty special for me because I got to see my favorite team win the World Series. That year Derek Jeter also won the Rookie of The Year Award

Needless to say I was pretty spoiled as a fan. The Yankees ended up winning three World Series in a row making me a fan for the rest of my life.

1998 Yankee Team

The 1998 season is arguably the best season the Yankees ever had. Achieving the most wins ever by the Yankees. With a record of 114-48 and ending the postseason with a world series win and overall record of 125 wins and only 50 loses!!!!! At the time the second best record after the 1906 Chicago Cubs 116-36!!! Now they sit in third after the 2001 Seattle Mariners put up an impressive 116-46.

As a Yankees fan I feel blessed to have witnessed this legendary season. One that will go down in history for all time.

2009 Yankees

Ending a 9 year drought the Yankees debut their new Stadium in style. Just like the did in 1923 the won the World Series with a record of 103-59. Under the management of Joe Girardi. Pretty cool because I remember when he first started playing as a catcher for the Yankees. Seems like the Yankees brought the spirit of the old stadium into the new one.

The past 25 years have shown us some amazing sports memories. I feel blessed to have been able to watch the Yankees win 5 out of the 27 World Series wins. I watched Michael Jordan shoot that famous last shot to win the championship and saw Michael Phelps amazing gold medal winning spree. I'll never forget Hussein Bolt breaking his own world record. How can I forget the historic home run race between Barry Bonds and Mark Mcguire. I could probably go on but I won't. Oh one more. How about watching David Cone pitch a perfect game!!!!!! Yes I witnessed all of this live and some of these feats will never be duplicated!!!!!!!
