Main figure: Jacob deGrom

Manager: Luis Rojas

Many think that the New York Mets are favorites to, at least, win the flag of the east of the national, because it is not at all unreasonable to think that way.

They have one of the best pitching staffs in the major leagues, their rotation of openers is led by Jacob deGrom, who has won the Cy Young two years in a row, as his escort will be the famous Thor, that is, Noah Syndergaard, followed by Marco Stroman, Michael Wacha, Rick Porcello or Steven Matz. His bullpen looks quite good, as names such as Dellin Betances, Seth Lugo, Edwin Díaz (despite not having a good 2019) and Jeurys Familia stand out.

In the batting, Pete Alonso is the backbone, it goes without saying that he was the home run leader of the entire MLB last season with 53 hits; an important piece will be Jeff McNeil, who got tired of hitting indisputable last year. The experience of Robinson Canó and Wilson Ramos will also be transcendental in the maturity of the team.
