Main figure: Jack Flaherty

Manager: Mike Shildt

The St. Louis Cardinals come from surprisingly winning the central division of the national league, but this year they don't seem to have a free ride. An excellent pitching and impeccable defense, but batting, an extremely important factor in this game, is his Achilles heel.

The red birds do not have notable additions, rather they lost the good bats of José "Cafecito" Martínez and Marcell Ozuna. The pitching looks extraordinary, both the starting rotation and the relief team, Jack Flaherty (for many Cy Young candidate), Dakota Hudson, Adam Wainwright, Miles Mikolas, Jordan Hicks, Giovanny Gallegos, Andrew Miller, Carlos Martínez, among others , without a doubt anyone would like to have arms of such caliber.

With the glove, everyone does the job, in fact, there are some talented players who can do their job and everyone else's too; Kolten Wong, Paul DeJong, Yadier Molina, Paul Goldschmidt and Harrison Bader have made this team one of the best defensively.

This is where the problems begin, with the batting, in 2019 they finished in the last 10 in collective average, home runs and runs produced, a lineup where perhaps the only really dangerous one is Paul Goldschmidt. However, we cannot underestimate a team that, with this same offensive problem, conquered the division, watch out for the Cardinals.

1) Tommy Edman, 3B
