Main figure: Gerrit Cole

Manager: Aaron Boone

The New York Yankees won their last title in 2009, lately they have been close to getting it but they have lacked something, maybe they have lacked experience, pitching or simply health (since last year the fans baptized them as "the hospital of the Bronx "). This year they have brought in the "Big Shot", Gerrit Cole, who should easily win more than 15 games and thus lead the starting rotation. However, the injury problem persists, we have not yet reached Opening Day and Luis Severino, James Paxton and Giancarlo Stanton are already injured, the Yankees hope that this is not what awaits them for 2020.

Regarding the offense, it is one of the best in the big top, a lot of contact, a lot of power, a lot of chemistry in the team, DJ Lemahieu and Gleyber Torres (who were the driving force of the Yankees in 2019) should have the backing of Aaron Judge, Gary Sánchez, Miguel Andujar, among others who were bothered by the injuries.

Probable lineup for Opening Day:

1) DJ LeMahieu, 2B

2) Aaron Judge, RF

3) Gleyber Torres, SS

4) Gary Sánchez, C

5) Brett Gardner, CF

6) Luke Voit, 1B

7) Miguel Andujar, DH (Stanton injured)

8) Gio Urshela, 3B

9) Mike Tauchman, LF

Probable rotation:

1) Gerrit Cole

2) Masahiro Tanaka

3) J.A. Happ

4) Jordan Montgomery

5) Jonathan Loaisiga

Relay Corps: Aroldis Chapman, Chad Green, Zack Britton, Luis Cessa, Ben Heller, Jonathan Holder, Tommy Kahnle, Adam Ottavino.
