The 2018 season is coming to an end with just a few games and then the playoffs... I'm sure the MLB is ready for a few headlines to slip into the offseason. That's the news of Chicago Cubs infielder Addison Russell and ex-MLB pitcher Mat Latos allegedly having domestic disputes with their significant others.

Russell's ex-wife has even came out by posting on a blog about the alleged domestic violence. She stated that she was physically and emotionally abused by the Chicago Cubs shortstop.

“The first time I was physically mistreated by my spouse, I was in shock,” Reidy-Russell wrote. “I couldn’t wrap my head around what just happened … Why did he get so angry? What did I do for him to want to put his hands on me? Of course I forgave him & assumed it would never happen again. I just thought he had let his emotions get the best of him, he loves me and he’s sorry. I was deeply hurt that he could even be capable of this behavior towards me, I couldn’t understand how the man I was so in love with, the FATHER of my child, the man I married just a few months ago could show such aggression towards me.” - Melisa Reidy-Russell

Latos has been hit with a restraining order due to the allegations from his ex-girlfriend. She claims that the ex-MLB pitcher has slashed her tires and threatened to kill her.

“He tackled me to the floor, picked me up and slammed me on the couch where he got on top of me pressing his forearm on my throat.”

She's reported multiple incidents over the tenure of their relations ship. There was a time where she said Latos locked her in a closet and another time where Latos backed her into a wall and told her, "I'll f**king kill you."
