Word on the street is that the Chicago Cubs offered Kris Bryant a deal worth $200M, and Bryant didn't accept. I find this deal hard to believe, because who's going to turn down $200M?!?!?!
I'm not sure what the thought process is to pass on that kind of deal. Maybe he's thinking that when he's a free agent that he'll be able to command much more than that, idk.. The only thing I do know for sure is that he's not coming off a healthy year, and if he has another un-healthy year, I can see teams not willing to offer him a monster contract like that.
Only time will tell if that was the right decision for Bryant, but I think I'm going to have to say I think it's one he might regret down the road... What's your thoughts?
