The Sunday night game of the week in the MLB will feature two National League Central teams that have one of the biggest rivalries in the sport. The St. Louis Cardinals will host their bitter rival, the Chicago Cubs. First pitch is scheduled for 7:08pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on National Television on ESPN. It will take place at Busch Stadium. The Cubs are small favorites at -121 and the over/under is 8.5 runs. There is rain in the forecast so a delay is possible. The Cardinals have won the first two games of the three game series.

Despite a rough couple game for the Cubs, they still sit all alone in first place of their division. But the Milwaukee Brewers have pulled within a half game and are nipping on their heals. Starting pitching has been an issue of late including Jose Quintana giving up 6 runs in the first inning last night.

Kyle Hendricks

Kyle Hendricks will get the start tonight for the Cubs. He is just 6-9 on the year and his ERA is 4.05. He is having his worst season in the blue pinstripes but has had some good success historically against St. Louis.

John Gant

The Cardinals will look to John Grant to complete the sweep tonight. Gant is 3-3 on the year and has an ERA of 3.44.

As far as a betting angle, the Cubs have not lost 3 games in a row since June 24th when they suffered a 4 game losing streak. I like them to bounce back tonight and get the WIN. Good luck and CHEERS!
