Red Sox Slump- But Still too Early to Worry

The Red Sox have been struggling after a rough Spring Training. During their most recent game against the Oakland A's, David Price let 3-runners go and the team played very cautiously.

The Red Sox are 1-4, and most recently lost to Oakland. We are only five games into the season for the Red Sox, so it's too early to predict their future standing. Their performance during Spring Training raised some red flags, as they came in first last year during their award winning season.

The Red Sox had a dream season last year, winning 108-games. They are the same team this year, and likely have been underutilizing their star players to avoid injuries during the long season ahead.

The Red Sox had several positive events occur in the beginning of the season. Xander Bogaert signed a contract good until 2025. We are early enough in the season to overcome these losses. The current Red Sox road trip is 11-games, which they can make up for their losses. I am still a fan, and look forward to their next bout.
