On Monday, October 10th, 1904, the 1904 MLB season concluded with the New York (now San Francisco) Giants holding the best regular season record at 106-47. The Boston Americans (now Boston Red Sox) had the best record in the American League at 95-59, however the season’s World Series was never played due to disagreements between the Giants organization and the American League. No official champion was determined.
New York Highlanders pitcher Jack Chesbro had the best record in the MLB at 41-12, while also pitching the most innings with 454.2, taking a season ERA of 1.82. Philadelphia Athletics first baseman Harry Davis led the MLB in home runs with 10, while Cleveland Naps second baseman Nap Lajoie led the league in RBI with 102.
