On Wednesday, October 8th, 1930, the Philadelphia (now Oakland) Athletics defeated the St. Louis Cardinals at Shibe Park in Philadelphia to win the 27th World Series four games to two. It was the fifth World Series championship for the Athletics franchise and the fifth that was won in Pennsylvania. These are the top five players that I felt most stood out during the series.
