On Monday, October 11th, 1943, the New York Yankees defeated the St. Louis Cardinals at Sportsman’s Park in St. Louis to win the 40th World Series four games to one. It was the 10th World Series championship for the Yankees franchise and the third that was won in Missouri. These are the top five players that I felt most stood out during the series.
