On Thursday, October 12th, 1967, the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park in Boston to win the 64th World Series four games to three. It was the eighth World Series championship for the Cardinals franchise and the seventh that was won in Massachusetts. These are the top five players that I felt most stood out during the series.

3. #18 Mike Shannon (Cardinals)- 3B
Shannon grabbed player of the game honors in game three, as he knocked in a pair of RBIs with one run and two hits in the Cardinals’ 5-2 victory.
