On Monday, October 27th, 2008, the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Tampa Bay Rays at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia to win the 104th World Series four games to one. It was the second (and, as of this writing, most recent) World Series championship for the Phillies franchise, as well as the ninth that was won in Pennsylvania. These are the top five players that I felt most stood out during the series.

5. #56 Joe Blanton (Phillies)- P
