The Boston Red Sox have not been doing well in Spring Training. They have some headwinds, but their status as heavy-hitting champions from last year give me hope in this all-American team.

Some wildcards for the defending champions this year include Dustin Pedroia's return from his knee injury and Mike Trout's deal with the LA Angels. Trout signed a $430 million deal that will cover his baseball career, and he is likely the best baseball player in the MLB.

The biggest indicator that the Red Sox may have a challenging year is their performance in Spring Training. Their performance is bottom tier this season. In their dream 2018 season, they performed first in Spring Training.
