Ahh, the left hook. Comes in many variations yet remains the same. It is a constant with one principle... to finish the fight.

Let's start this post with on the king of the Left Hook, Mark 'The Super Samoan' Hunt.

This badass has nuclear power in both hands, but his left hook has been proven to be a completely deceptive weapon as most men are concerned with his powerbomb of a right!

Pictured above is Mark Hunt in his 'UFC' prime as he completely steamrolls the 'Skyscraper' Stefan Struve.

The giant heavyweight at over 7 feet tall succumbed to the tremendous force of Hunt's left hook. Marko Hunto (as Japan calls him) is still one of the hardest punchers in mixed martial arts history... if not the absolute #1.

I love this fight because it shows the short and seemingly out of shape Samoan demolishing the towering heavyweight who was actually on quite the win streak at the time.

Nobody can deliver the left hook like Hunto, and now you see why!

Another pioneer of the sport as well as a pioneer of the leaping left hook is Mauricio Rua. The man better known by his moniker 'Shogun' has melted many an opponent with his deceptive leaping left, a weapon mostly disguised by his explosive kicks and takedown ability.

Here is one of the most brutal, savage and brilliantly timed left hooks in history. Many thought Shogun was out of his element against the young hard hitter Te Huna, but he proved everyone wrong with this knockout of the year candidate.

Be warned, this knockout is serious.

Shogun has always been one of the most enigmatic fighters in history as he has fought the greatest fighters we've ever seen, and he's beat a great margin of them!

I hope you enjoyed another part in the Combat Technique series, till' next time!
