Two-time UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is ready for new challenges. The New Zealander with Nigerian roots scored an impressive knockout in April over long-time adversary Alex Pereira, leveling the overall record between the two in professional MMA. However, the Brazilian decided to move up and look for another fight with Adesanya. That left the 84-pound champion with very few options for his next fight, as he had already been through most of the top 10 fighters in the division.

One of Adesanya's potential opponents is Khamzat Chimaev, who has competed at welterweight and middleweight and is currently having a serious problem finding a new opponent. Regarding this potential clash, Adesanya shared that he is not worried about anyone and is not afraid to meet Hamzat because he offers something that will intrigue him, such as a fighting style.

Israel also shared thoughts that Chamaev will have to fight Usman first and maybe after that, there will be a title fight, which may be the reason why there is no talk of a clash between the two at this stage. Adesanya added that he plans for his next opponent to be the winner of Drikus Du Plessis and Robert Whittaker.

Just to remind you that Adesanya has 2 wins over Whittaker.
