The negotiations on UFC star Conor McGregor's return to MMA octagon is still ongoing.
According to McGregor's head coach John Kavanagh, McGregor and his agent Audie Attar are working on a matchup with undefeated champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Kavanagh hopes that the matchup will happen.
The trainer also boasted that McGregor's "competitive spark" has returned in the recent sessions.
“I really have seen the spark back lately,” ani Kavanagh. “I think that was directed at other areas of his life for a while, building up his business world — which is completely justified.”
McGregor's last fought in MMA since he was crowned into a two-weight champion in November 2016.
The 29-year-old champion now faces a case filed against him, that rooted his attack in a bus on April at Brooklyn.
McGregor currently talks with the district attorney for a plea deal.
