That was fun! I loved watching this presser! Here's some of my thoughts, and the press conference video if you haven't watched it
Jones vs Gustafsson
Great presser! Great to see Alex super confident and ready to smash Jones. I liked how Gus was stating he beat him in the last fight too. Jon also seems confident and ready to come back, and was enjoying himself up there. I don't like Jones, but it is great to see him back and I can't wait for this fight. Gus, smash him!!!
The stare-down!
Things got heated! Jones stepped in front of Gus, who then stood his ground and got pushed by Jon!
The strange thing about this though was that Dana White walked off stage when the two were in the middle of the stare-down/taking media photos.
When does Dana ever walk off stage when 2 fighters are staring down, leaving them alone?! Something seemed very strange about that to me, but hey, it's all entertainment.
Cyborg vs Nunes
Firstly, I just want to say, Cyborg was looking THICK. I mean, huge! Like 200lbs huge! Damn... Nunez isn't a small woman but the size difference is massive. The height not so much but Cris is seriously built like a stacked man. Is she on roids? Shes F'n huge! Her legs are like a power-lifters!
Anyway, Cyborg seems super confident, and I might have sensed the Lioness feeling a little bit worried. Hopefully not. I can't see anyone beating Cyborg. I think Nunes does have a good shot with her range and striking accuracy, but Cris is one of the best fighters in the UFC right now. Either way, if Nunes gets past the first round unharmed and without having taken much damage, her confidence can roll into the second and she might have a chance at beating her. We will all find out soon!
