UFC FIGHT NIGHT WICHITA ON ESPN + Predictions & Analysis
SourceDerrick Lewis vs Junior Dos SantosJDS is a former heavyweight champion, boxing and blackbelt in BJJ. Is on a two fight win streak, showing that he still has a little gas left in the tank by beating phenom tai Tuivasa who was showing serious promise by taking the division by a storm. And Ivanov who is a AKA fighter, training with the likes of DC, Cain Velasquez and Khabib Nurmagomedov.Derrick Lewis is a one hitter quitter fighter. Once he touch you it is over, nighty night. He is a scary fighter, it do not matter the round, do not let him catch you. He has had a lingering back injury over the years but recently he claimed it has been better since he has been working on his diet. He was on a 3 fight winning streak which got him the title fight against DC. Any heavyweight fight is a must watch, especially when it is the black beast. JDS is no joke tho very skilled in boxing and BJJ. He should be able to outmaneuver Lewis and get the win. In seriousness, do not be surprise if the black beast pulls out a shocker. AGAIN!Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos vs Curtis Millender Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos is a Muay Thai and BJJ fighter out of Brazil. He is on a six fight win streak, he had two amazing KO’s in his last two fights. ZDS is special but I would love to see him use his BJJ in this fight because Millender is a very good striker as well. Curtis Millender is slowly but surely moving up in the ranks. He is a striking technician. A lot of tools in his tool box. While ZDS has the most experience and overall skills, I am leaning towards Millender. Millender is on a 9 fight win streak, this is his first real test in the UFC. I expect him to use his reach and with those kicks he loves to throw and edge out this victory. Tim Means vs Niko PriceAt this point, Means is a gatekeeper to test future talent. Niko has a brown belt in BJJ. He was on the come up had two separate streaks that was quenched by losses to Vincente Luque who is no joke and Abdul Razak Alhassan. Alhassan is a another monster who has dirty power and until his recent legal troubles was a threat in the division. Very Legit losses to two tough opponents. Means does not have the power of Alhassan or the skills of Luque. Price has this fight, the oddsmaker got this one wrong, probably think price is not fully recovered from the KO. Lets go with price to get things back on track. Blagoy Ivanov vs Ben RothwellRothwell is done, at this point he should retire. This fight is really to measure Ivanov’s skills. Ivanov is a prospect out of AKA, training with Velasquez, Khabib and Cormier. He comes out of a great camp. He is a top prospect and he had a lot of great fights before the UFC. In his first fight he fought JDS because he was a top prospect. This fight is more of a setup to jump his career in the UFC. He is very skilled in the grappling department. Beneil Dariush vs Drew DoberDariush is a skilled fighter but he has a chill vibe in and out the octagon and that is a problem. He like to fight at a slow pace and does not like the pressure. Dober is a wrestler with a purple belt in BJJ. He has a lot of heart and put on the pressure in his fights. This is good fight for him because Dariush do not like the pressure. Against Alex Hernandez, Dariush got KO’ed, primarily because Hernandez turned up the heat on him. Dober for the win! Tim Boetsch vs Omari AkhmedovBoetsch is another fighter who has been in the game for a long time and should retire at this point. Omari is a sambo wrestler on a two fight win streak. This fight will be a good test to see what he can do at the middleweight division. This is his second fight in the middleweight division since returning from the welterweight division. Look out for these fighters to get the DUB!Yan KunitskayaJeff HughesJulian Erosa
