Andrea Dovizioso managed to become the fastest rider in the qualifying session which took place Saturday (04/08/2018).

The 2018 Czech MotoGP qualification session opens by holding the first qualifying round (Q1) in advance to look for the top two riders who will be entitled to participate in the second qualifying round (Q2).

Maverick Vinales

Movistar Yamaha rider Maverick Vinales got less good results while undergoing the 2018 Czech MotoGP free training session taking place at the Brno Automotodrom.

In the first free practice session (free practice 1 / FP1), Friday (08/03/2018), Maverick Vinales can only occupy the 14th position.

Vinales then improved his performance while undergoing FP2 sessions which took place a few hours after FP1.

In the session, the Spanish rider was able to record the sixth fastest lap time.

However, while undergoing FP3 on Saturday (04/08/2018), the Spanish rider was thrown back from the top 10.

Vinales was only able to end FP3 in 11th place with a lap time of 1 minute 55.777 seconds.

These results also make Vinales in 11th position on the results of the combination of FP1-FP3.

Thus, Maverick Vinales must take one qualification (Q1) in the 2018 Czech MotoGP qualifying session later.

For Vinales, this is the fourth time he has undergone Q1 in the qualifying session throughout MotoGP 2018.

Previously, Vinales also followed Q1 at the Qatar MotoGP, Spanish MotoGP and Italian MotoGP.

These statistics show that Vinales often has difficulty when doing free training sessions.

The team-mate, Valentino Rossi, has better results after being the fastest in FP3.

Holders of the nine world championships managed to end the final training session in the first position after posting a lap time of 1 minute 55.175 seconds.
