MotoGP organizer, Dorna, again spoke about the feasibility of the Silverstone Circuit, England. According to Bos Dorna, Carmelo Ezpeleta, the manager of the 5.891 km track must immediately improve if he wants to continue to be used as an arena for MotoGP races.

The feasibility of the Silverstone Circuit is in the spotlight. That was after the British MotoGP which was supposed to take place there on Sunday (08/26/2018) because of bad weather. This incident made the audience angry and asked for the ticket money they paid.

The drivers were also disappointed. Especially because the meeting which was held with the safety council to make decisions did not involve all MotoGP drivers.

Safety of drivers is the main reason for the cancellation. Because the rain that has fallen has inundated a number of points on the Silverstone circuit. This condition is considered very dangerous for drivers. Moreover, drivers also found holes at some points.

The investigation is now being carried out on the feasibility of the Silverstone Cycle. A temporary guess, a poor paving is the culprit of the British MotoGP failure.

Speaking to the Spanish US media, Ezpeleta, signaled that Silverstone's contract with MotoGP which actually ended in 2020 could be problematic because of this situation. "If they do re-enactment and are approved, I don't think it's a problem at all," Ezpeleta said regarding the status of Silverstone and MotoGP contracts in the future.

"The economic losses incurred are not very important. It depends on Silverstone, I think they will apply for refunds or give free tickets next year," he said.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Ezpeleta supported the cancellation of the British MotoGP. For him, that step is far better than seeing drivers experience accidents.

"The drivers really want victory. But they don't need to convince us, because we have the same desire," said Expeleta.

"That was the right decision, because the weather did not improve until 7:00 p.m. and there was no need to ask questions why why not just start being delayed," Ezpeleta explained.
