Movistar Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi realized that the records he had recorded in MotoGP were threatened. The main threat came from Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez.

Marquez's threat cannot be underestimated. At the age of 25, the Baby Alien driver raced on the right track to surpass Rossi's 89th victory in the premier class. Marquez is also very likely to surpass the seven MotoGP world titles.

His success in winning the Thailand MotoGP was his 42nd victory in the premier class. His career is predicted to be still long, so that the chance to overtake Rossi's victory is wide open.

Currently, Marquez is just one step away from reaching the fifth world title in MotoGP. The Spaniard is 77 points ahead of Andrea Dovizioso in the 2018 MotoGP standings. If he succeeds in winning the Japanese MotoGP on Sunday (10/21/2018), the world title is confirmed to be in Marquez's grip.

Although his record is threatened, Rossi said he was not worried. "Marquez can break my records. But, that does not make me disturbed," Rossi said, as reported by Motorsport, Monday (10/15/2018).

"You have to think about your own career and I feel my career is good. I won a lot of races and I was able to win many titles. My biggest regret was the loss of a title at Valencia in 2006, when I made a mistake," added Valentino Rossi.
