He's a 39 year old father of 2 from Emporia, Kansas. He has had 21 career wins and earned over 69 million dollars. He drives the no. 14 car for the Stewart-Haas Racing team. He is none other than Clint Bowyer.

So far this season Clint Bowyer has won 2 races. His first win this season was the STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway and his second win was the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Clint has also had 5 top five finishes this season and has an average of finishing in 12th place. Clint seems to finally be turning his racing career around. His two wins this season have been his first wins since 2012.

Wreck between Clint Bowyer and Ryan Newman

Clint didn't finish too well at Darlington this past week. He finished in 36th after wrecking Ryan Newman driver of the no. 31 car. Newman was slowing down to make a pit stop but Clint wasn't aware that he was pitting. Clint didn't have enough time to maneuver around Newman and plowed into the back if his car costing a win for both drivers.

This week's race will be the "Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard" at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Clint doesn't exactly have the best track record at Indianapolis. Of the 12 races that he's been in at this track he only has 3 top 10's. His most recent race here was last season where he got wrecked out and finished 30th. His average finish at this track is 14th. Clint has proven to be getting better this season so I have high hopes that he will finish at least in the top 10 this week.

My favorite thing about Clint Bowyer is his sense of humor. He's like the funny uncle at Thanksgiving that you can't wait to see because you know he's going to have something funny to say or do. Every week I look forward to the post race interviews to see what he's going to have to say. Click here for my favorite Clint Bowyer moment.

Overall I think that Clint Bowyer is a good driver. He hasn't always been a part of the best racing teams but he gives it his all in every race. He's not my favorite driver but he is high on the list. I look forward to see him continue his racing career and win more races.

SIDE NOTE: I will be doing a driver of the week every week so comment which driver you want me to talk about. If you don't know any drivers then comment a number between 1 and 95 and I will pick the driver that belongs to your number.
