On Sunday, November 6th, 2022, the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season concluded with Joey Logano defeating Ross Chastain by six points to win the 74th championship in Cup Series history. It was the second championship for Logano. Chase Elliott claimed the regular season championship.
The 2022 Daytona 500 was won by Austin Cindric, while Brad Keselowski led the most laps with 67.

2. #1 Ross Chastain (-6, Finished 3rd in final race)
Chastain picked up the runner-up spot thanks to two victories, 15 top-fives and 21 top-10s to score an average finish of 13.3, leading the most laps in five races.
1. #22 Joey Logano (Won final race)
Logano won the title after capturing four victories, 11 top-fives and 17 top-10s, claiming an average finish of 13.5 while also leading the most laps in three races.
